Featured Artist Leah Wilson

We are beyond pleased to announce that the feature artist of this month is Leah Wilson! You can view and purchase Leah’s artwork in River City Revival House until the end of April 2020!

Exploring colour vibrations through Acrylic painting for Leah involves a layering technique that creates “windows”. This allows the viewer to experience the journey of the artists in completing the work of art itself. Complimentary colour schemes and textured applications add form, and what is know as colour fields to depict an intuitive story or mood. “There are many windows to the previous layers, allowing the viewer to the journey through the creative process. The art provides a meditative visual that generates emotional content through simple complexities and vibrant stimulation.”

Her last six years’ work experience particulate colour vibrations, symbols of nature, and abstract human shapes. Bright colour schemes give people a healthy inward place of reflection. The “particulate concept” means to see the image as parts that are parts of parts, appealing to a deep understanding of being one with what we see and feel.

Leah’s Art Education includes Central Technical School of the Arts in Toronto, Ontario and Spectrum School of the Arts in Victoria, British Columbia.
