ARTISTS OF HOPE

The Art Program at the Mustard Seed began February 7th, 2017 as a weekly drop-in on Thursday evenings after the evening meal has been served. Anyone wanting to participate is welcome and art supplies are provided in the form of paint, pastels, charcoals, pencils and markers. This is still the case today, as we celebrate almost 13 years of the art program. In 2010, a second art program was added for artists who attend regularly. Their art is on display in River City Revival House . Many of these same artists have participated in art shows and art displays since 2010. Art nights are encouraging and supportive as the artists talk about themselves or a piece of art they are working on. They help one another with their artwork, and provide suggests and feedback on how someone can improve or change different elements of their work. As a result the art program has brought a sense of belonging to the community, a sense that friends are near. Through this program it is clear that art brings people together, art changes people, art heals people.

All proceeds from the sale of any artwork goes directly to the artist.
To purchase any artwork please contact Rachel de Leon at (780)-660-6604 or racheldeleon33@gmail.com
