The Starlite Room is Edmonton’s oldest midrange Live Music Venue, 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of live music within our building. Since our ownership group first took over the Starlite Room in July 2017 we began to evolve the already well know culture of Edmonton’s live music scene with the addition of Temple Bar and River City Revival House. Each employee has become family and an integral part of our story. At ConcertWorks, Starlite Room & River City Revival, community is everything. The position of General Manager is responsible for the successful operation of our venue, leading our  front of house team and be the liaison for promoters, agents and artists. He/She maintains active control over the execution of all aspects of the venue. You must be passionate about the hospitality, nightlife and live music industry, leading teams, and developing individuals. You must have a demonstrated track record of achieving results through others. We are seeking a leader who is a motivator, and will create a culture focused on our community and retaining people who do what is best for our guest. Customer service and guest experience are of the utmost importance to our venue. An individual in this position oversees the team (recruitment, selection, training), the guest experience (service, beverage, membership and ticketing), the environment (safety, cleanliness, maintenance) and the overall financial prosperity of the business (sales, costs, profit). Starlite Room’s General Manager job is broken down into three categories, administrative, on duty management, as well as the overall functioning of our team and our business:

  • Become a trusted, well-liked and respected ambassador of our brands for both staff and guests alike. You will be responsible for executing the Starlite Room brand standards, building awareness of the venue and its brand in the local community.

Experience: 
General Manager 2 years + (asset)
Nightlife and Hospitality Industry 5 year + (preferred)
Live Music Industry 1 year + (preferred)

Requirements:
Proficient knowledge of Google Drive, Google Calendars, and Google Spreadsheets
Class 5 Drivers License
Must be fluent in English
